The nominations for the 40th American Music Awards are in, and guess who’s up for New Artist of the Year AND Favorite Album (Pop/Rock) ...? One Direction! Do you think Zayn, Harry & Co. are gonna take home the gong? After winning 3 awards at the MTV VMAs last month, a couple of AMAs would surely be the icing on the cake for the British boyband!

Lots of our other favorites are up for awards, too: Taylor Swift has been nominated for Favorite Female Artist in the Country category, while Justin Bieber is up for 3 titles and Rihanna is in the running for an impressive 4!
