Do you let your mom know all year round just how much you love and appreciate her? Every year, we have Mother’s Day. It is celebrated on different days around the world, but the purpose is the same, to show our Moms how much we care If you’re not sure what to do, check out our top ten Mother’s Day tips:

  1. Instead of buying flowers for your mom, why not buy her a plant, or even plant a flower for her in the garden? This twist on a classic present is sure make her smile, and the plant will last for years!
  2. Get cooking! Ask a friend or an adult to help you cook dinner so your mum can put her feet up. Alternatively, bake some cookies or cupcakes for your mom and put them in a cute box as a present!
  3. Help out around the house all day. Why not take your mom some breakfast in bed, or offer to wash the dishes?
  4. Get crafty by making a card. Your mom will love the fact that you’ve taken the time to make something for her, even if you’re not such a great artist!
  5. Want a unique present idea? Gather a selection of your favourite family photos, grab a huge piece of card and stick the photos down to make a huge collage. You could even add some doodles of flowers and love hearts around the edges to make it more colorful. Just make sure you have permission from whoever owns the photos!
  6. Have a duvet day! Make some snacks for you and your mom, gather a selection of her favorite DVDs and get comfy in front of the TV. Bliss!
  7. Have a pampering session. We bet your mom loves beauty and fashion just as much as you do! You could paint each other’s nails, style each other’s hair and use face masks. No dads allowed!
  8. Get active. If it’s sunny outside, why not see if your mom wants to go for a bike ride? If it’s rainy, why not go to the swimming pool? Either of these are a great way to catch up.
  9. Run your mom a nice, hot, bubbly bath. Simple.
  10. Most importantly, just be there. Mother’s Day is a great day to just hang out with your mom and catch up. Remember how lucky you are to be able to spend time together!
