The internet is great for communicating, finding information and making friends and having great fun. But, just like in real life, there are risks and there are also rules! Here are some suggestions for using the internet :

• Be prudent, you never know who is behind the screen !
• Never give out your name, age, address or telephone number !
• Never give anyone else your passwords even to a friend or someone who sounds official !
• Tell your parents about the friends you make online, and introduce them !
• Take care with your language - don’t use insults or be racist !
• Never send a photo or video of yourself, to anyone !
• Never get dressed infront of your webcam, you could be recorded !
• Never accept to meet anyone you have met online without being accompanied by an adult !
• Your blog can be used without you knowing so be careful what you put on there !
• Never open an email from an unknown address, or respond to a message that makes you feel uncomfortable !
• If you see an image that makes you worry, tell an adult quickly !
